Ugh. I've been out sick the last few days with a disgusting summer cold. I'm still feeling pretty hazy, so I'm not really productive at work today. Sorry, PLCU. I spent the last 2 days lying on my couch watching reality shows on TLC, we're talking A Wedding Story, A Baby Story, Bringing Home Baby and the like. It was pretty awesome. There are all of these lovely functional happy families out there, and all they want is to have it on video for the whole world to see and share in their joy. I usually end up mocking them, and then flipping to Maury when it gets too gooey for me. Nothing like a "who's my baby daddy" show to counteract the saccharine sweetness of TLC.

Sunburns are dumb
I got a wicked sunburn sitting at the beach bars on Sunday. My back and chest are pretty crispy, but the worst part of it is the part in my hair. We're talking disgusting blisters that popped all over the place last night, scabby and painful. I bet if you shaved my head in a few days it would have a nice brown line all the way down the middle. But then my head would probably look like a butt, so please don't.

Online... on campus?
Ok, so I guess I'm not taking classes this summer. I dropped my two Chicano Studies because I don't have time to read 3 books outside of regular class work, and I don't really feel like researching a "cultural event" to attend and write a paper on. I took online classes because they are supposed to be easy, HELLO!! So, I figured Chicano Studies are out and I'll just take it easy and go with the one English class I signed up for. Well, I signed on today to find out that there are 3 in class tests. In class as in on campus in the middle of the day. You know, when I'm working. Does this guy not understand the point of a summer online class? ONLINE, meaning on my computer without ever seeing you face to face, so now I have to drop the class. Wonderful.

Lets go to camp!
Its official, there will be a Ponies convention next weekend! Miss Ashley is coming down for a bridal shower and we're turning it into Camp Blaster. We've got camp uniforms, a hike planned, arts and crafts. Be prepared for some sweet ass pictures in the next few weeks!

Hilton Ordered Back to Jail!
Posted Jun 8th 2007 3:05PM by TMZ StaffFiled under: Celebrity JusticeParis Hilton was just ordered back to jail in Lynwood to serve out the remainder of her sentence! She'll get credit for 5 days already served.Hilton left the courtroom in tears, screaming, "Mom, Mom, Mom."One witness described the scene as: Paris was "physically escorted" out of the courtroom by a female deputy.
This rules! I'm glad that the judge reinstated the full 45 day term, justbecause of her presumption that paying off the sheriff would have gotten her out of doing time. And, come on! Its only 20 days! Get someone to give you a few books, and work on yourself while you have the time alone.

Go, Big Girl!
I went to see Hairspray last night with Darcy and Nicole. It was so cute! I highly reccomend it. It was amazing to see some of the women shaking it while singing and weighing in over 200 lbs. It must be difficult to be that athletic and still have to keep a lot of weight on you at once. Think about it, the woman who plays Tracy gets paid to eat all the time to maintain a hefty frame and she's considered hot. I love this show.

Tee hee
This probably makes me a bad person, but when I see other people in an uncomfortable situation sometimes it makes me laugh. This morning, for example. I was walking down to the garage and ended up behind two people who were obviously doing the walk of shame. The woman was all dressed to go to work, and the guy was slightly rumpled in his shorts and tshirt (classic- it had a jolly roger on the back with the words "surrender the booty" below it) that he obviously wore to the bar last night. "But they might be a legitimate couple" you say? Well, she was walking about two steps ahead of him while he was shuffling behind her, neither of them were talking, and the tension as they got into her car was palpable when she asked him where he lived. Total hook up. I couldn't help but giggle when he said OB, because that's going to be a nice uncomfortable 15 minute drive. But hey, 15 minutes of "Sooo, do you like...stuff?" was probably worth the night of $2 wells and the crazy drunk booty that followed.

Gag me
So, Paris Hilton got moved from real jail to house arrest. Good for her that she had enough money to pay her shrink to tell someone that she is so mentally f'ed in prison that "medically" she can't be there. That's retarded. All of her gibberish about wanting to take responsibility for her actions was complete crap. Its nice to see that its true that enough money can get you out of anything. I wonder what getting off for murder costs?

Simple things
You know, it doesn't really take very much to make me happy. Today I found the replacement part for my vacuum that I'd given up on ever finding. Instead of spending hundreds to get a new vacuum, I spent $5 to get a new handle. Hooray! Now I say F you to the Eureka website that lauds their ability to provide you with parts for their own vacuums. Not so, as last time I checked a new filter is not the same as a replacement part. On top of that cool happening, I enjoyed a leftover half of a salad from lunch yesterday that was even more delicious than I remembered it. So now I'm extra happy as my tummy is full and my home can be clean!
